Mentors can assist us to deliver our programs in the following ways:

  • Mentoring a Business Skills Program™ sponsored by your employer.
This requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week usually between 4:00pm - 6:00pm on weekdays during the Business Skills Program™.
  • Mentoring a Business Skills Program™ where extra mentors are needed. This requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week usually between 4:00pm - 6:00pm on weekdays during the Business Skills Program™.
  • Assisting Business Skills Program™ participants on a one-off or needs basis at Business Skills Program™ meetings.
  • Presenting at our Management Skills Seminars.

Apart from the time commitment, all that is required from suitable candidates is that you use your enthusiasm and experience to help make a contribution towards developing the potential of our young people.

Contact your YAA State Office to find out about mentor opportunities in your area.

Suitability Screening: Young Achievement Australia requires that all persons applying to mentor or volunteering to mentor complete a suitability screening check as required by their State or Territory. Legislation and Regulations in each State and Territory differs but all require that persons in contact with young people aged under 18 years of age be screened for suitability.
