The MasterCard Tertiary Business Person of the Year Award recognises an individual rather than a company. This person is seen to have a wide-ranging and comprehensive understanding of the nature, scope and demands of small business. David is a nine month attendee at Odyssey House, Melbourne. He has embraced the YAA concepts and championed his peers which include fellow in-house participants as well as members from Deakin University. Throughout David's Business Skills Program journey he has sought self discovery and improvement as well as a desire to prove to the world that he is capable of fulfilling his life long dreams of embarking on a rewarding professional career. David is a brilliant communicator who has used the YAA program as a vehicle to challenge himself and learn the fundamentals of small business. "It is fantastic to see a young man voluntarily seek help to turn his life around. By successfully completing this intense 24 week program and providing company shareholders with an 11% return on investment and be named both the Victorian and National Business Person of the Year is nothing short of remarkable. We wish David well and hope that he continues to focus his energy on business as it is something he excels at." explained Michelle Pilot, Vice President, Marketing, MasterCard Australasia. After being named the MasterCard Tertiary Business Person of the Year Winner, David will also become an Ambassador for Young Achievement Australia nationally. - Ends - For further information or to arrange an interview, please contact:- Carley Johns, Young Achievement Australia Ph. 02 9232 3088 or 0409 299 450 About Young Achievement Australia Young Achievement Australia is a dynamic, innovative, non government, not for profit organisation committed to developing the boundless potential of young Australians.
